Today started with an attempt at a shower. This was a fun task, as the showers don't stay on, to conserve water. Chapel was at 0815. It was about 45 minutes. We shared communion; which was nice way to start the day.
Because of this, I had to grab my breakfast and go to work. Work was in the clinic for 1/2 hr. We had five visitors; three colds; skinned elbow; and one man with lots of questions.
Morning session was after that. We talked about Peter. After the brother did our study, we broke into our study groups. I'm in group 12 with Nora, 5 German speaking people, that can speak English as well; one man from the US; and one man from Australia.
We introduced ourselves, and talked about what we did at home.
We had midday prayer after this, for another 45 minutes, then lunch, which was rice and veggies, cheese, bread, an apple and a cookie. This is when I did my second job; collecting dishes.
We met as a group at 1515 and discussed the morning session questions.
It's interesting that last week, we talked about living ecumenically and this week, we are doing it, as not all of us are Lutheran but we all are Christian.
One of the group had an interesting analogy of "where is God?" He is the "spark" inside us. We can either build the fire or leave it be. Communion could/should be how God enters us, as well.
Snack at 1715. Bridget and Hannah are working the canteen. It's fun that we are all put to work.
Dinner was at 1900. Mashed potatoes, 2-chicken nuggets, bread, garlic cream cheese, apple and cookies. I think by our leaving on Sunday, I'm going to miss and want meat!!
Evening prayer was again 1-1/2 hrs. We sang a English song, which was nice to end my service.
We met after service for evening snack. Hot coffee never tasted so good.
